''And the software running on the mobiles is completely compatible with software running on standard desktop computers.'' Both Sharp and Gavilan will debut the Sorcim software on their mobile units in Las Vegas. The companies have scheduled continuous demonstrations in their booths at Comdex, the computer industry's largest trade show. Sharp and Gavilan will offer the software as part of a basic package when their mobiles are sold. According to Ferguson, Sorcim also plans to market software compatible with the mobiles that are expected to be introduced by at least six other manufacturers. The foundation of the mobile-computer software package is SuperCalc, Sorcim's basic spreadsheet program that set the industry standard for business applications on a personal computer. Aim blackberry download software, which increases the capabilities of the basic spreadsheet, is also available as an option. Aim blackberry download software features include calendar functions, consolidation, sorting by rows and columns, enhanced formatting and increased speed. The mobile package also includes SuperWriter, a full-feature word-processing program with advd form-letter generation and printer features. The other components of the package are new Sorcim products, SuperPlanner and SuperComm that have been created exclusively for the mobiles. SuperPlanner, an executive calendar/scheduler, has such features as an address and phone notebook, appointments/ activities files and an index-card box. The communications program, SuperComm, allows the user to communicate with other computers including other mobiles, as well as transfer files and dial up a wide range of database, time-sharing and other business information services such as Dow Jones News/ Retrieval, The Source and CompuServe. The mobiles have the power of much-larger desktop units like the IBM PC.
